Hope Clinic began from the compassion of Jon and Anja Erickson, missionaries to
Guinea with CAMA Services and CAMA Zending of Holland.
It began with short term medical teams coming to Guinea since 1993 with Guinea
Medical Teams. This led to a vision to help the people of Southeastern Guinea with a permanent facility in N'Zao, a
village of about 2000 habitants situated close to a large city, N'Zerekore. Hope Center operated as a clinic from 2004 to 2006 with a dedicated, but minimal staff.
In 2007, we began to realize our dream of becoming a complete medical center.
To better see the vision
of Hope, please view the video clip of Jon Erickson and Moise Mamy, two of the founders
of Hope.
In April 2007, we began
an important facet of our work, training a national staff.
We began with a Nurse Training School to develop and support National Staff
as the base of Hope Medical Center.
We serve in an area where medical and dental care is scarce, and most people have
difficulty affording adequate medical care.
